Hearts and Stars ACEO

This ACEO is built with layers on top of layers on top of layers. From the back:

The background is made of strips of handmade paper that have been laid side-by-side and glued in place like planks on a nice sturdy piece of mat board.

The strips have been toned with several layers of paint in varying degrees of transparency to give it an earthy organic feel.

The pink heart design is painted with acrylic paints.

The star flower and the little star in the upper left are cut from my favorite origami paper.

A combinatinon of acrylic paints, colored pencils, collaged papers give this ACEO a fantastic depth and richness.

Hearts of Silver ACEO

Now aren't these little hearts charming? Sweet purple and pink hearts surrounded by little silver spirals. Very cute!

Vintage Hearts ACEO - Sealed with a Kiss

Wonderful green and gold hearts are sealed with a lip print (a stamp, not mine). The background is pieces of patterned papers set side-by-side and glued in place. The border and a few details are drawn with sepia ink.

Overall, a very warm and inviting card.

The card is standard ACEO size: 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

Double Sweet Hearts, Red and Gold, ACEO

Cute little hearts done in acrylic paint on paper. Both hearts are done with iridescent paint so they shine nicely. The scroll border is done by hand in ink.
